Newcastle Racing Tips: Saturday, November 15th 2025
Race 7: Nzb Spring Stakes - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Grand Prairie: 3YO Colt who had been racing sensationally and then tackled a tough race last start after a freshen up and got caught wide throughout which was costly. Fitter now and Tom Sherry gets back into the saddle who is 4:2-2. Drawn a lovely alley and rates well. No market support a slight concern, but looks capable of winning this.
(4) Long Legs: 3YO Filly who broke maiden last start nicely. She trialled the house down and then the first up run was terrific from a wide draw where she went straight to the front and never looked like losing. She has been $10 into $5.00. Big watch. Untried on top of the ground.
(1) Grand Prairie WIN
$3.60 (1.5 Units)
Race 8: The Newcastle Herald Hunter 1300m - 4:45pm (AEDT)
(3) Coal Crusher: 8YO Gelding who improved last start against some tough competition (Jimmysstar/Lady Shenandoah). He won this race 2 years ago and ran third last year. Track specialist and had a very good fourth up record. Has to be considered, but getting older now and been a while since drinks.
(11) Accredited: 6YO gelding who loomed the winner first up before being nutted on the line by Estadio Mastella. Likely to improve now second up, draws a nice gate and drops 5kg off last starts run. Gets back onto the dry ground where he is 10: 6-1-0. Each way.
(14) Yorkshire: 5YO gelding who was sensational last prep notching up three wins and a second. Resumes today and has two handy trials behind him. Draws a sticky gate, but has to be considered off last prep. Major player.
(11) Accredited E/W
$8.00/$2.60 (1 Unit)
