NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, November 6th 2025

Minnesota Timberwolves at New York Knicks (11:30am AEDT)

The New York Knicks welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to Madison Square Garden in what's shaping up to be an absolute cracker on the NBA slate. Both sides are travelling well at 4–3, but the market has decisively favoured the home side, who are hunting five straight wins on their own deck. The obvious narrative here is former Timberwolf Karl-Anthony Towns playing his old club, a factor that will no doubt contribute to a white-hot atmosphere. With the Knicks dialed in defensively and looking efficient in the half-court, they're priced up as clear favourites.

The Timberwolves, however, have demonstrated plenty of mongrel despite the likely sidelining of their main scorer, Anthony Edwards. Increased usage and volume from their veteran core have kept the Wolves in the fight. The key man for Minnesota has been forward Julius Randle, who is absolutely dominating the boards and scoring columns. The ex-Knick is coming off his first triple–double in Wolves colours and has been consistently clearing his player points total since the Edwards injury.

This fixture essentially boils down to New York’s tenacious defence-first system against a Minnesota outfit relying on powerful individual bursts. The crowd noise at the Garden will be massive, which should certainly fuel the Knicks' drive to cover the spread. While Randle's recent purple patch of scoring will keep them in contention, the depth and consistent performances from the Knicks' starters and bench should ultimately get them over the line for a clear victory late in the fourth quarter, seeing us collect on both of our tips.

Prop Bet: J. Randle Over 21.5 Points $1.96 (1 Unit) - Palmerbet

Knicks –5.5

$1.92 (1.5 Units)

Miami Heat at Denver Nuggets (1:00pm AEDT)

The Denver Nuggets welcome the Miami Heat to Ball Arena on Thursday in a quality matchup. While the Heat will bring their usual hard-nosed attitude and determination, the historical data is impossible to ignore. The Nuggets have absolutely owned this match-up, winning a staggering 14 of their last 15 meetings straight-up. This run of dominance is reflected in the margins, with Denver’s last three victories against Miami landing by a whopping 12, 13, and most recently, 20 points.

Miami's renowned defence faces its biggest test in the shape of Nikola Jokic, the league's most effective offensive general. The key factor here is Jokic’s phenomenal playmaking ability, which has seen him average a massive 11.3 assists this season. He is currently well over the prop line and has consistently crushed it against this specific opposition, posting 10 and 14 assists in his last two outings against the Heat.

Denver is simply a different beast at home, and the consistent, decisive nature of their wins over Miami in recent history—including three consecutive wins all by 12 points or more—strongly validates the large handicap. The Heat's ability to stay in the fight early on will rely on their bench and key role players, but the Nuggets’ depth of talent and Jokic’s playmaking should eventually open up a decisive gap in the game.

Prop Bet: N. Jokic Over 9.5 Assists $1.80 (1 Unit) - Neds

Nuggets –9.5

$1.90 (1 Unit)

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers (2:00pm AEDT)

The San Antonio Spurs travel to Crypto.com Arena to face the Los Angeles Lakers in a genuine clash of narratives. While the Lakers have performed admirably to start the season despite ongoing roster disruptions, the simple fact is the Spurs currently boast the superior talent and health on the floor. For the Spurs, this is a crucial bounce-back opportunity after suffering their first loss of the season against the Suns, a game where Victor Wembanyama was limited to just nine points. Against an opponent battling significant injuries, taking the Spurs to Win on the Moneyline looks to be solid value.

The Lakers' defensive vulnerabilities—created by the necessity of playing a severely compromised rotation—are the primary driver for our second tip. Wembanyama will be highly motivated to reassert his dominance after his quiet night against Phoenix. Given his anticipated high usage to kickstart a winning run, and the current state of the Lakers' frontcourt, the Victor Wembanyama Over 27.5 points is a strong player prop backed by both recent form motivation and strong statistical precedent against the Lakers.

Ultimately, this is a fixture where the betting value lies in fading the traditional 'Laker' home-court narrative in favour of current roster strength. The Spurs have the necessary firepower and an immediate motivation to perform, led by a generational talent who knows how to exploit this specific opposition. The combination of Wembanyama's proven scoring ability against the Lakers and the instability of the home team’s line-up creates a path to a Spurs victory.

Prop Bet: V. Wembanyama Over 27.5 Points $1.83 (1.5 Units)

Spurs to Win

$2.19 (2 Units)
