Race one of nine starts at 12:50pm (AEDT) with the main race starting at 4:20pm (AEDT), with the John O’Shea and Tom Charlton trained Quietness the current favourite. Bendigo Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 29th 2025
Race 3: Bendigo Locksmiths Handicap 1600m - 2pm (AEDT)
(1) Hiyaam Proud is resuming from a spell and has to carry a big 62.5kg for Michael Dee but he does have some quality about him. He is unbeaten on a Soft track which is the key element here and he does race well when fresh. Dee has placed twice on top before and he schooled him in the jumpouts too.
(9) Masterful was scratched on the weekend in preference for this and gets the blinkers on. He hasn’t won or even placed in a while but he is over the odds at $12.00. Handles the give out of the ground.
(10) Entrusting gets the blinkers on and despite poor form previously on Soft tracks is a good each-way play in this. Will get back and will be one of the fastest late.
(1) Hiyaam Proud Each-Way
$5.00/$1.90 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Ladbrokes Bendigo Cup 2400m - 4:20pm (AEDT)
(4) Sayedaty Sadaty is very consistent despite his latest effort when 12th behind Valiant King in the Group 3 Bart Cummings at Flemington. He drops 3kg for this and will settle handy to the pace and I can see him settling 3rd behind the leader from the good barrier in 3. He will likely want a steady run race and get cover for as long as he can up the Bendigo straight before he hooks out late. A win here and a Melbourne Cup start beckons.
(1) Arapaho for Bjorn Baker has drawn the rails and will appreciate a Soft track that he has won 6 times on from 19 starts previously. Rachael King has won on top on 6 occasions and has a good association with this gelding.
(6) Quietness has drawn a little wide in 13 and might have to go back to near last. He ran on well for 4th at Caulfield last start (Coongy Stakes) with Williams on board but the query here is if the track will be too wet I reckon. Most of his good for is on Dry ground.
(4) Sayedaty Sadaty Each-Way
$6.50/$2.20 (1 Unit)
Race 9: The Sporting Globe After The Last Series Heat 1400m - 5:30pm (AEDT)
(11) Big Sexy was scratched from two races last week but it might work at well because the rain come on the weekend and he gets a Soft track here. He has won 2 from 3 on the Soft and he did look a class above them at Hamilton last time when he won by 2.75L over the 1100m. He does jump up 300m here but he has raced over this distance previously and he wasn’t disgraced. Johnny Allen hops on.
(5) Helix loves this distance but he does run better on Dry ground. If the track dries out to Good he goes on top but at this stage he is second pick. Jamie Melham is on and this guy does have the ability to run on well in his races.
(10) Boltsaver drops 6kg for his effort (3rd) at Ballarat and he has placed 7 times from 10 runs over the 1400m. Allen has chosen Big Sexy but Jye McNeil goes on.
(11) Big Sexy WIN
$3.00 (2 Units)
