NFL 2025-26: Eagles at Giants Preview & Betting Tips

October 8th 2025, 11:08am, By: Andy Rosos

NFL Week 6 Eagles at Giants Betting Tips

The NFC East takes center stage in Week 6 as the New York Giants host the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles under the lights. It’s a clash of momentum and circumstance, with the Eagles looking to rebound from a frustrating loss and the Giants trying to find flashes of hope with their rookie quarterback under fire. With division implications and pride on the line, this one has the makings of a classic primetime test.

NFL Week 6 Eagles at Giants Betting Tips

Friday, 11.15am (AEDT)

New York Giants

New York comes into this primetime spot with a 1–4 record, still trying to find consistency and identity. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has had a roller-coaster few starts, showing flashes of arm strength and mobility but also turning the ball over at inopportune times. The offense has struggled to stay balanced, and the running game has been inconsistent. When Dart is under pressure or squeezed in the pocket, things have fallen apart for the Giants.

Injuries are compounding the trouble. Wide receiver Darius Slayton is dealing with a hamstring issue and hasn’t practiced, limiting New York’s vertical threats. Meanwhile, running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is trending toward a return from a shoulder injury, which would offer a boost to their backfield depth behind Cam Skattebo. But whether he’s fully healthy enough to make an impact remains a question. The Giants need creative scheming and cleaner execution more than ever in this one.

Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia enters at 4–1 but with uncertainty creeping in. Their run game has been shaky in 2025, and after surrendering a double digit lead to the Broncos in Week 5, questions are mounting about their consistency, especially in close games. Jalen Hurts must find his rhythm again and keep the offense humming. The Eagles’ defense, though, has generally held up, and they still have the firepower to tilt games in their favor.

However, the injury bug has bitten them too. Left guard Landon Dickerson is expected to miss one to two weeks due to an ankle injury, which weakens their interior protection and could disrupt timing in both pass and run plays. Also, Saquon Barkley is listed with knee soreness but is expected to play. A return to his former stomping grounds adds narrative weight but comes with durability doubts. The Eagles will need to lean on their depth and structural cohesion to weather it.

Prediction

The talent gap in this matchup feels too wide for New York to close. Philadelphia has the superior quarterback, offensive line, and defensive front, and on a short week, that usually spells trouble for an undermanned home team. The Eagles should be able to control the line of scrimmage, dictate tempo, and create turnovers against a Giants offense that has struggled to protect the ball. If Jalen Hurts finds his rhythm early, this could get out of hand quickly.

The Giants will put up a fight at home, but the odds of them keeping pace look slim given their offensive injuries and growing reliance on a rookie quarterback. Philadelphia’s defense has a chance to feast, and if the Eagles run game finally clicks, this one could turn ugly. My pick is Eagles in a blowout, something like 34–13, with the Giants never really threatening.

A.J. Brown 70+ Rec Yards

If this game tilts toward an Eagles blowout, it probably means Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown set the tone early. The Giants’ secondary has been vulnerable to physical receivers all season, and Brown is the type of matchup nightmare they simply don’t have the personnel to contain. He’s averaging over 10 targets per game in 2025 and has cleared this number in three of his last four outings.

With the Giants’ offense struggling, Hurts may not need to throw deep into the fourth quarter, but Brown is the kind of player who can pile up 80–100 yards in the first half alone if he gets rolling. In a game script that favors Philadelphia, I’d expect the Eagles to take their shots early, hit on a few big gains to Brown, and then ride the ground game to close it out.
