Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 8th 2025
Race 2: Asahi Super Dry BM64 1250m - 2:10pm (AEST)
(1) Jellicious: 4YO Mare who joined the Waller stable this campaign and has been rather impressive breaking maiden first up and then scoring in a BM72 both by 2 Lengths. She is chasing a hatrick and looks to be the one to beat. J-Mac stays on gets a handy draw to go with it. Will let her go at the price when lugging 61kg.
(6) Scalable: 4YO mare who resumes after a handy enough first campaign breaking maiden third up and then SP’d as favourite in a BM64 and didn’t have the best of runs and was eased down late, but only finished 4L off the winner. Tipped out after that and has trialled twice now leading into this first up run. Draws pole and should get a handy sit. Big chance.
(8) Kakadu Sunset: 3YO Filly who won on debut and then returned nicely finishing strongly behind the favourite here Jellicious. Gets a weight swing in her favour this time and will only be fitter second up. Will be hitting the line strongly again.
(8) Kakadu Sunset
$3.90 (1 Unit)
Race 5: Myplates BM72 1300m - 3:55pm (AEST)
(2) Verbil: 5YO gelding who has a terrific record thus far in his short career notching up 3 wins and 2 placings from all 6 starts. Won well first up and then was huge in defeat last start. Rock hard fit now and gets the booking of James McDonald now for the first time which will boost confidence for punters. Goes well.
(3) The Replicant: 7YO gelding who ran a strong race over 1400m in this grade last start at odds. He has been consistent enough this prep and should be rock hard fit and ready to compete once again. Draws pole and Nash gets back on top who has had previous success. Value.
(6) Ringarosai: 7YO Mare who has been honest this prep and got the chocolates last start over this trip at Bathurst in BM85 grade lugging 59kg. Drops back in grade now and drops 2kg. Probably a few handier types in this race, but rates well and is rock hard fit. Capable of going on with it. Value pick.
(6) Ringarosai E/W
$8.50/$2.60 (1U/2U)
Race 8: Ranvet BM78 1250m – 5:40pm (AEST)
(2) Mogo Magic: Talented 6YO gelding who has a tidy CV. Resumed in open grade at Canberra last start and was in front for a long way before being picked up on the line when lugging 61kg. Heads to Sydney now and will have a better fitness now and gets in nicely with the 3kg claim. Draws low and can dictate once more. Each way.
(5) African Daisy: 7YO Mare who looks to be the roughie of the day who was dominant last start at Rosehill in a BM72. Remains at BM72 and only lugs an extra half a kilo. Drawn nicely and rates well. Hard fit and capable of another big run. Roughie chance.
(11) Verbil: Honest 5YO Gelding who is a duel acceptor here and in race 5. Terrific record thus far and gets James McDonald into the saddle for the first time boosting confidence.
(2) Mogo Magic E/W
$6.50/$2.15 (1U/2U)
