The Valley races again on Friday night and although it will be hard to top Pride of Jenni’s efforts of last week, it's sure to be a great night of racing.
The track should remain a Good4 and the maidens will start proceedings in race one on the program which starts at 6:15pm (AEST).
The weather is fine and with the Turnbull Stakes less than 24 hours away there should be another good crowd on course.

Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Friday, October 3rd 2025
Race 4: EDS Group Handicap 1000m - 7:45pm (AEST)
(4) Rich Dottie was unlucky first up at Flemington (11th) so forget that run. The Graheme Begg trained mare likes Good tracks though and has an excellent second up record where she has won twice previously. Michael Dee is on and he has won twice on top before and Rich Dottie is 2 from 2 over the journey. Barrier 11 is a little worry though so Each-Way is the play.
(3) Stokke has won 4 from 5 on Dry ground and she also likes this distance having won on 3 occasions from 7 starts. Won well for Shinn last start at Hillside after coming from the midfield.
(8) Mckeyla ran well for 3rd at Flemington when second up and should be fitter now. Should pick up a race this campaign.

$4.00/$1.50 (1U/2U)
Race 6: Symal Handicap 2040m - 8:45pm (AEST)
(1) Lincoln Rocks hasn’t won in over a year but surely finds a suitable race here. He has always run a placing over the 2000m distance and they have been in better class than this. He was beaten a nose at this track on September 6 so that shows he handles this track and with him having a few weeks but between runs he should be cherry ripe over this distance again. Gets a 2kg claim.
(2) I Am The Empire is the stablemate of our first selection and he ran a good 3rd in the Benalla Cup last start. Hasn't won over this distance yet and hasn’t placed at The Valley. Ready to go again though. Gets a 2kg claim.
(9) Kokoro was beaten half a length at Flemington last start and was unlucky (10th) at Caulfield the start before in what looked to be a strong race. Is 100 percent fit now and one at odds. Fifth run in and barrier 1 may assist.
(1) Lincoln Rocks Each-Way
$4.40/$1.80 (1U/2U)
Race 8: MSC Signs Handicap 1200m - 9:45pm (AEST)
(10) Sun Setting ran on well with Willow on top last start at Flemington (2nd) and the extra 100m in distance should suit here. She likes Dry tracks and on September 3 she won a mares race at Hillside when 2nd fav. She is pretty consistent and is due for a spell so the Laurie stable will be keen to notch up one more win before she is turned out. Has placed over the 1200m.
(9) Enna’s Dream was slow out but stormed home for 2nd at Hillside last start. She goes better on Soft tracks but she has to be included.
(2) Lazy Susan has won 2nd up before and does go very well on Good tracks. She has always finished in the top 3 over this distance but she does go up 5kg in weight. Logan Bates has won on top before.
(10) Sun Setting Each-Way
$5.00/$1.90 (1 Unit)
