AFL Round 24’s Sunday slate has another traditional three games for us to sink our daily fantasy teeth into. Being the final Sunday of the season we get the most important games for finals seeding making it an entertaining day of football. Things get underway with the top game stack option of the day as the GWS Giants host St Kilda at ENGIE Stadium. Then we move to the most critical game of the round as the Western Bulldogs host Fremantle to effectively determine who will finish in the top 8. Before the nightcap game between Brisbane and Hawthorn at the GABBA with the winner locking in a top four finish.
As always, this is all about the daily fantasy and this Sunday slate draws another massive $50,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $50,000+ Sunday at Draftstars
AFL $5,000+ Sunday High Roller ($150 Entry) at Draftstars
AFL $3,000+ Sunday Mini ($2 Entry) at Draftstars

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 24 Sunday
AFL Fantasy Round 24 Sunday: Where to Attack?
With a slate full of finals teams fighting for their lives and seeding you can expect this is a day where identifying areas to attack is limited. The easy starting point is to target the Saints. They are giving up over 10 points per game above the league average to attacking half backs and above average points to general defenders and designated kickers. This suits the Giants perfectly as they love to over possess the ball in this part of the ground. Up forward they are giving up above average points to general forwards but given the stakes for each team, full GWS stacks should still be a popular play.
The Fremantle Dockers also give up points across the backline, especially to general defenders (over 6 points above league average). They are also giving up points to general forwards, but not so much key forwards which is where the Bulldogs tend to attack.
Brisbane are pretty much the hardest team in the league to score against right now, with only key forwards being a position where they have given up above average points. Meanwhile on the other end, the Hawks only give up points to rucks and general forwards.
Game Scripts – GWS forwards and backs
AFL Fantasy Round 24 Sunday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Aaron Cadman ($9,880) continues to be a solid value play with his price under $10k on this slate. GWS are the biggest favourites on the slate and the Saints have had trouble most of the year defending key forwards. He has posted back to back scores 82 and 81 fantasy points, which would be solid returns on what looks to be a difficult slate with an upside of 100+ points. I love this as a play in GWS stacks.
Look to link Cadman up with other forwards, such as Harvey Thomas ($8,850) who has also been in top form in recent weeks with back to back scores of 94 and 84 fantasy points. Or spend all the way up to Toby Greene ($12,560) if you have the salary. GWS forwards are certainly my top play at that position today.
Sam Marshall ($6,030) is coming off a great performance last week against Fremantle racking up 94 fantasy points pushing up the ground and onto the wing at times. He stands out still sitting at near minimum price with value options very tough to pin point. If you are looking for a bit more certainty of role but at a higher price Xavier O’Halloran ($9,770) has solidified his role as an inside midfielder for GWS and can offer 100 point upside in the right matchup.
AFL Fantasy Round 24 Sunday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Darcy Fort ($10,190) will take the sole ruck role this week and draws the best matchup on the slate against Loyd Meek who continues to leak points to opposition at over 6 points per game over the last 10 games. This play also gives you much needed salary relief to spend up further at other positions.
AFL Fantasy Round 24 Sunday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Lachie Whitfield ($16,000) should be well positioned to take advantage of the fact that the Saints are giving up a stack of points to half backs (a tradition that has existed for every year that Ross Lyon has been with St Kilda). Whitfield has scored 100+ in 6 of his last 7 games (not including one injury affected). Looking to stack up Whitfield with other GWS backs is an elite play on this slate.
Tom Liberatore ($14,970)… from the other games the Western Bulldogs midfield stands out as a solid play. The Dogs are playing at home and favourites and should stand up in a big game. I would look to Marcus Bontempelli ($16,970) who will be doing everything he can to drag the Bulldogs into the finals and Libertore at less price who will be following him every step.
