NFL Week 8 Monday Betting Tips
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
4.00am (AEDT)
Philadelphia enter this one sitting at 5-2 and looking to reassert dominance in the division. They have the home-field familiarity and a roster that expects bigger things. The big caveat is that the defence has been leaky in spots, especially against the run, and while Jalen Hurts continues to steer the offence confidently, the unit just hasn’t looked like last year’s version.
The Giants are limping in at 2-5 and coming off a brutal collapse where they built a massive lead in Denver then gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter to lose 33-32. That kind of meltdown brings questions about their mental resilience and defensive credibility. On the flip side, they’ve upset the Eagles recently and will want to prove they’re no longer pushovers in this rivalry.
The Eagles should bounce back here. The Giants’ defence is battered and Philadelphia have too much motivation at home to let this slip. Expect the Eagles to win 27-17, using the run game to control tempo and the defence to tighten in key moments.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos
7.25am (AEDT)
Denver are 5-2 and have momentum after that wild comeback win against the Giants, scoring 33 fourth-quarter points to steal the game. Their defence is solid and the rushing attack is showing signs of life. The altitude of Denver always looms large for visiting teams, and the Broncos are beginning to rediscover their Mile High swagger.
Dallas are 3-3-1 and remain as entertaining as they are unpredictable. The offence is explosive with Dak Prescott looking sharp and CeeDee Lamb in form, but the defence continues to give up too many big plays. They’ve struggled to close out tight games, and playing outdoors in Denver’s thin air doesn’t do them any favours.
The Broncos have the slight edge at home. They’ll ride that surge of confidence and hope to exploit the Cowboys’ defensive holes, but I expect this to be a tight game from start to finish. Look for the Cowboys to cover the 3.5 point spread here.

Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers
11.20am (AEDT)
Pittsburgh are 4-2 and riding the arm of Aaron Rodgers, who has found form with multiple touchdown performances in recent weeks. The Steelers haven’t lost at home to the Packers since 1970, and the crowd at Acrisure Stadium always gives them an extra lift. With a balanced attack and an improving defence, they look every bit a playoff-calibre side.
Green Bay come in at 4-1-1 after a gritty road win in Arizona where they pulled off a late comeback. Jordan Love has managed the offence well and the defence has shown resilience, but they’ll need to be near-perfect to steal one in Pittsburgh. Historically, they’ve struggled in this matchup, and the Steelers’ pass rush could be the difference.
The Steelers look set to defend home turf once again. Rodgers’ poise and the home atmosphere should prove too much for Green Bay to overcome. Prediction: Steelers 24-20.
