The NFL continues this week with an 11 game slate throughout Monday morning leading into a great marquee clash between the Chiefs and Packers from 12.20pm. Check out our preview and betting tips for the key games of the day below.
NFL Week 13 Monday Betting Tips
Cleveland Browns at LA Rams
8.25am (AEDT)
Not much to choose from during the early 5am slate so we’ve opted to double up on the 8am slate, kicking things off with this tasty matchup between the Rams and Browns. The Browns are 7-4 on the season, having won three of their last four games. They will, however, be coming off a disappointing 17 point loss on the road to the Denver Broncos in Week 12, their first loss against the spread in almost a month.
The Rams have won two games on the spin to move to 5-6 on the season and they are now right in the hunt for a NFC wildcard spot. They sit mid-table in the league in both offensive and defensive rankings, but put up 37 points in their win over the Cardinals in Week 12. Running back Kyren Williams had a monster game in the win, running for 143 yards and adding another 61 in the air as he found the end-zone twice.
The Rams have one of the most dynamic passing games in the NFL with Williams, and the wide receiving core of Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell. However, the Browns possess the No.1 ranked passing defence in the game, allowing just 142.0 yards per game. I think they can keep the clamps on them somewhat in this one, back the away side to bounce back and cover the 3.5 point spread here.

San Francisco at Philadelphia Eagles

The game of the round sees two heavyweight NFC teams battling out as the Eagles host the 49ers from 8.25am. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 10-1 but the 49ers could close that gap to just one game with a win here. After a slipup against the Bengals a few weeks ago, the 49ers have won their last three games in a row by an average margin of 20.6 points.
The Eagles have won five games in a row since their only loss of the season to the Jets back in Week 7. They haven't looked super convincing in a few of those five wins, however, most recently getting over the line by just three points in a overtime clash against the Bills. They have the No.3 ranked offence in the league, putting up 28.2 points per game, but have been leaky on defence of late, allowing 26.3 over their last four games.
Love the look of the overs here. The line is high at 47.5 but if the Eagles clash against the Bills last week is anything to go by, then the 49ers should have no problem putting up 25+ at home. I think this one could resemble a 30-27 type scoreline going in either direction.

Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers

The Chiefs have been steady in 2023 without completely setting the world alight, maintaining an 8-3 record so far to sit atop the AFC West division. They will be coming off a 14 point win over the Raiders in Week 12, in a game where defence was once again the catalyst as it has been for most of the year. The Chiefs have the No.3 ranked defence in the league, allowing just 16.5 points per game.
The Packers have bounced back from a slow start to the season to win three of their last four games and give themselves a chance for a NFC wildcard. They are 5-6 on the season and QB Jordan Love has been rounding into form of late, passing for six touchdowns and zero interceptions over his last two games.
The Chiefs start as just six point favourites on the road, a line that I thought would be a touch higher given they didn’t look great against the Raiders on the weekend but still managed to cover the spread easily with a 14 point win. I think they carry on their winning ways here by at least a touchdown.

- The Chiefs are 7-4 against the spread this season. Patrick Mahomes is 40-38-2 against the spread over his career and just 0-1 against the Packers.
