Some solid results in in NFL betting tips in Week 1 of the season, hitting on all three of our best bets but unfortunately finishing Week 1 with a 7-9 overall record. The action continues on Friday morning with Week 2 getting underway with the Browns and Bengals squaring off from 10.20am.

NFL Week 2 Betting Tips

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns

FirstEnergy Stadium, Friday 10.20am (AEST)

The Bengals were gallant in their Week 1, three point loss to the Chargers at home. They’ll be looking to bounce back under rookie quarterback Joe Burrow on Thursday Night Football against divisional rivals in the Cleveland Browns. Burrow showed signs of brilliance in Week 1, putting up 193 yards on 23/36 passing and should continue to improve with more NFL experience.

On the contrary to the Bengals, the Browns were not gallant at all in defeat in Week 1. They were obliterated by the Ravens to the tune of 32 points. Cleveland put up just six points in the loss on the back a 189 yard, one touchdown game from QB Baker Mayfield.

Like the look of the Browns here despite a really average Week 1. The Browns had a tough matchup against one of the best teams in the league in the Baltimore Ravens while the Bengals were just beaten by a non-playoff team in the Chargers. Back the Browns to bounce back here and get a much needed win at home, covering the spread in the process.

New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks

CenturyLink Field, Monday 10.20am (AEST)

Patriots fans will be the epitome of smugness after Week 1. Not only did they win their first game of the season and first game without Tom Brady, but Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were comfortably beaten by the Saints as a cherry on top of the ice-cream. The Patriots defence was on song against the Dolphins allowing just 11 points in the win while new quarterback Cam Newton rushed for two touchdowns in his first game in a Pats uniform.

They’ll have a much tougher test in Week 2 against the Seahawks, who recorded a fantastic road win over the Falcons in Week 1. Russel Wilson put up 322 yards and four touchdowns as the Seahawks scored 38 points in the dominant win.

The Seahawks start as four point favourites at home, but CenturyLink Field doesn’t pose as much of a threat this season with no fans in attendance. Really like the look of the Patriots to cover here in a close game.

New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders

Allegiant Stadium, Tuesday 10.15am (AEST)

Monday Night Football poses a fantastic matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders, who both got their seasons off to good starts with a win in Week 1. The Saints win was particularly impressive as they downed NFC South rival in the Buccaneers by 11 points in a high scoring game. It’s amazing that the Saints put up 32 points on the back of just 271 total yards and just 160 through the air from Drew Brees.

The Raiders also put up a big score in Week 1, plundering 34 points in a four point win over the Panthers in Carolina. Running back Josh Jacobs was fantastic in the win, racking up 139 all-purpose yards and rushing for three touchdowns while Derek Carr threw for 22/30 and 239 yards.

Cannot believe the Saints are just 4.5 point favourites here. When thinking about this game before looking at the markets, I would have set this line at about 6.5 or even 7.5. Back the Saints every day of the week and twice on Sundays!
