NBA Betting Tips: Monday, November 20th 2023
Orlando Magic at Indiana Pacers

The Magic will continue their road trip with a stopover in Indianapolis to take on the Pacers. The Magic will be playing their fourth game of this current road trip which has been successful so far with two wins, both of which came against the Bulls. Overall, the Magic have put together a 4-3 record on their travels which surpasses expectations. Meanwhile, the Pacers just finished up their mini two-game trip to Philadelphia where they traded wins with the 76ers. The Pacers now return home where they’ve enjoyed reasonable success so far this season, amassing a 5-2 record. They’ll be at close to full strength with only Andrew Nembhard missing through injury, while the Magic will be without Wendell Carter, Markelle Fultz, and also possibly Jalen Suggs. The Pacers will start as the favourites and deservingly so considering both their recent form, coupled with home court advantage. I expect fatigue to be starting to settle effect this Magic lineup and am happy to oppose them at the spread.

Denver Nuggets at Cleveland Cavaliers

The reigning champs will play their second game of their current road trip in Cleveland when they take on the Cavaliers. The Nuggets were unsuccessful in their recent outing against the Pelicans, losing by five points despite Nikola Jokic putting up video game type numbers once again. The Nuggets have now lost three in a row on the road while remaining undefeated at home this season. In contrast, the Cavaliers have won two in a row at home and will be looking forward to playing a few more games in front of their fans after playing six of their last eight on the road. The Cavaliers were a terrific home team a season ago with a 31-10 record and seem to be heating up on their home deck after starting 0-3. Considering recent trends, it’s interesting to see the Nuggets listed as road favourites in this one even if Donovan Mitchell isn’t suiting up for the Cavs. I’m happy to take the home side to get the win at juicy odds.
Cleveland Cavaliers to Win

Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Rockets unexpected yet highly impressive win streak was snapped at six when they lost to the Clippers by six points last time out. Still, it was another strong performance on the road and one which could’ve easily gone their way. It now gets tougher for the Rockets who will remain on the road where they’re yet to secure a win this season from three attempts. Elsewhere, the Lakers have underwhelmed so far this season but are now starting to tick the win column over at a higher rate. They’ve won four of their last five games since losing three in a row on the road. However, Both Anthony Davis and LeBron James are under injury clouds heading into Monday’s game, which is something to keep an eye on. Even if both stars play, I believe the Rockets form has been strong enough over the past couple of weeks to see them cover the spread here.
