Narromine is the only track left racing in Australia on Thursday after a number of States suspended racing temporarily! Luke Krahe has previewed the quaddie legs to get us through the day below!
Horse Racing Tips: Thursday, March 26th
Narromine Race 5 - (Market)
I am happy to have (6) Knock Toff go around one-out in the Quaddie so we can go a bit wider through legs two and three. The son of Toorak Toff was previously trained north of the border, he was off the scene for more than year when transferring stables to the “boutique” Glenn Morgan stables at Tamworth. He resumed at Gunnedah and was solid in the market, led to the return and after hanging out, kicked again for a good win. With that run and a win second-up previously, from the good draw he should be leading for a long way. Quaddie numbers – 6 (throw in 2 and 5 if you are not keen on going one out).
Narromine Race 6 - (Market)
It looks an open race on paper, (11) Kacper Boy doesn’t win out of turn but was good winning last start at Gunnedah. He was right back in trip to the 1400m and sat mid-field, got a cart up wider on the track before doing best over the last furlong. He get out to the mile which looks his best trip, he will just need to get cover and should finish off as good as any. Looks a great each-way bet at the double figure odds. Quaddie numbers – 5,7,8,10,11.
Narromine Race 7 - (Market)
There looks to be plenty of speed on paper, expect that there will be multiple horses gunning for the top. (7) Plectrum is drawn out which looks ideal, he has tactical speed but should be able to get handy early before tucking in for cover just off them. He has placed at two in a row, the first of those on a heavy track after sitting three-wide no cover throughout and the latest was at Mudgee on a better surface. That day he got back and wide, ran on well into third without ever looking likely. Hopefully they are positive out of the gate and look for that cover on the speed. Quaddie numbers – 3-7-8-9-12.
Narromine Race 8 - (Market)
(1) Jailbreak looks a put-in take out job but I can’t imagine you will be getting anything near black odds. He resumed as favourite at Bathurst in a similar race, sat behind the speed and loomed to win in the straight but just may have run out of condition. He then went to Coonamble and again was the top elect in the betting, was given time to settle and sat wide worse than mid-field. He was patiently ridedn and when the gap came he exploded clear at the furlong pole to win by almost 5 going away. It was very impressive, he maps to get a gun run here and I doubt anything in this will be able to match him for speed when he says go. Quaddie numbers – 1.
