Derby Day Eve at Moonee Valley this Friday, October 28th and we have our horse racing betting tips here at Before You Bet
The Rail is out 7m the entire circuit and the track rated a Good 4 at the time of writing. The weather looks to be fine and the track should play pretty evenly with a preference for those on or around the speed.
Small fields in most of the races tonight with the rail out so far meaning that we don't have many juicy priced tips but that is simply a reflection of pool size, the dominance of the top end of the market and not lack of value.

Moonee Valley Racing Tips - October 28th
Race 1 - #1 Nangawooka @ $4.40 (approximate price)
Very tricky maiden race to start the night. Low confidence for us but worth a small bet on the lightly raced top weight who should press forward and race in the first few affording himself every chance.
Race 2 - #4 Curragh @ $2.20
Very talented horse who is gearing up towards a peak run. Brings a very sound SP profile and the predicted solid tempo in this race plays right into his hands.
Race 3 - #3 Snake Charmer @ $4.00
Phillip Stokes has a terrific record when bringing his gallopers over to Melbourne in Cup Week and he looks to have found a very suitable race here.
Race 4 - #2 Loving Home @ $5.50
Rates very well at the price. Maps to get a lovely run and his Sydney form should be more than good enough against this lot
Race 5 - #9 Miss Vista @ $1.60
She's short but very hard to tip against here in a race with limited hopes. She has scope to run well in races well beyond this grade and should run some slick time tonight in winning.
Race 6 - #2 Grey Street @ $4.00
Grey Street has a class advantage on most of these and is set to peak here fourth-up off the back of a sound lead-up. We expect the market focuses in on her and she shortens from her current quote.
Race 7 - #12 Mr Tickler @ $10.00
Open race and we've gone wide to our only obvious overlay. Mr Tickler will need luck from the wide gate but if he presses forward can run a great ride at nice each-way odds for us.
Race 8 - #2 Zenithal @ $8.00 (BEST BET)
The best of the night comes in the lucky last race to be run over the Cox Plate distance of 2040m. Zenithal drops in grade and would have taken plenty of benefit from his first run back which was over a similar distance. In a shallow race with natural improvement he looks hard to beat. Mott is a very underrated jockey and Mr Pago is main danger and worth a small bet in quinellas.
