We are back again for some great Friday night racing at Moonee Valley and it looks a perfect way to kick start a huge weekend of Group 1 action. Billy Bestford has done the form and has found his best bets on the card. Check out our Moonee Valley preview and racing tips below.
Thought the win of (5) Serenaur last start over 1400m was brilliant. He towelled up a decent maiden field there and the 2nd horse has since run well again. The rise in trip looks perfect and he can hang out the back, enjoy the good tempo up front and be strongest late. Can’t see any reason that he can’t build on the last start win and looks a promising type.
(7) Easy Single is a progressive sprinter who dug deep last start at Swan Hill to win from a very difficult position. Never really looked like he would win there but somehow found a way. Has built a strong record now and barrier 1 should see him in a forward position in running. Expect him to relish the tight Valley track and be able to handle this step up in grade.
(14) Aspen Colorado could not have been more impressive last start, bolting in at Casterton by 6L. That was over 1800m at just his 2nd run this campaign so he should enjoy the rise to 2040m here. Barrier 2 might be a touch sticky but he looks a horse with a heap of talent and could just be better than these. Banking on that to be the case and his last start win was one that showed he’s a serious horse.
