Friday Night horse racing tips are back at Moonee Valley this November, 18th and with the Saturday metro Melbourne meeting being held out at Ballarat for Ballarat Cup Day, there is an element of excitement about tonight's meeting for those who like the city tracks.
The rail is in the True position which generally helps horses that are on or around the speed and slightly off the fence. This is the first time this rail position has been used since the Manikato/Cox Plate two-day carnival in mid to late October.

Moonee Valley Racing Tips - Friday, November 18th
Race 1 - #7: Idol each-way @ $9
Very tricky race with trainer Mick Price having three of our top four rated selections in the race. Idol certainly looks a better horse on top of the ground and will run through the line strongly over this trip. She comes out of a maiden but ran nice time and can settle closer this time around from the ideal gate in a small field.
Race 2 - #3: Fast Tycoon @ $3.60
A maiden race where we have relatively high confidence. Fast Tycoon has always looked capable of being a mid-week winner and gets his chance in this race after three solid tune-up runs. The stable will be looking to win this race and put him away for a spell you'd think.
Race 3 - #9: Blue Money @ $3.00
She is getting pretty close to her price but she does look the logical one to beat coming out of some strong Sydney maidens. This looks a pretty weak race and had she drawn a bit better she'd be a 6/4 chance.
Race 4 - #1: Go Down @ $3.60
This horse has been well supported since the early markets went up and for good reason - it was big overs. Lightly raced type drawn to get a lovely run, any improvement off the first-up victory will see him be very hard to beat.
Race 5 - #6: Military @ $15.00
Tricky race with limited value. The favourite is too short at $1.70 and more of a $2.20/30 chance. Military is a 955m specialist who can settle in a nice position in the run, worth a small bet at odds.
Race 6 - #7: Riyadh each-way @ $8.50
A race with a stack of chances and as such we don't want to get too involved. Top value option is something small each-way on Riyadh who will get an economical run and always runs well.
Race 7 - #2: Labuan Star @ $3.00 (**BEST BET**)
A top chance and one of the best bets of the night is this Weir galloper who ran well first-up. That run has him as clearly the horse to beat this time around.Ben Allen can settle in a handy position from gate 2 and the horse should be too good late.
Race 8 - #10: I Taut I Saw each-way @ $15 (**BEST VALUE**)
A great race to finish the night where the favourite Dane Thunder rates well but looks too short for a horse that struggles to convert. I Taut I Saw is the horse who maps very well and rates well with scope to improve beyond this grade.
