Horse Racing Tips: Thursday, June 27th
Kembla Grange Race 2
(6) Betty Blooms was a well backed favourite last start on the Kenso track, she was second-up that day and was a little disappointing on the surface. What should be noted though is that there are a couple of gear changes revolving around the tongue tie, suggesting there may have been a problem last time. I like the jockey change with Christian Reith going on, he will ride her positive from the good gate and I expect her to lead all the way at start four and break the maiden status. (4) Disco Mo comes through the same race and had a tougher run, but he gets in three kilos worse and Reith to Berry is not my idea of a huge positive. I don’t think he can sit outside (6) Betty Blooms to win but that looks the riht form reference for a race like this.
Kembla Grange Race 4
(6) Belitsa is a 2YO filly taking on the older horses here but she looks to have plenty of upside. She was fair on debut then won her maiden at Canterbury when leading all the way on a very wet track. She then tackled some of the best juveniles in the country and knocked up after leading, she was then sent to the paddock. She has trialed really nicely on a heavy track recently, has the speed and the positive jockey to lead all the way. Even if she can’t cross, controlling the speed from outside the leader should be good enough. I would like to see some money from her from the big players late.
Moe Race 3
(2) Just Remember This was beaten a long way resuming, that was in Saturday 3YO grade and there was a little support for her at big odds. She was mid-field without cover and no closer than three-wide throughout, understandably she dropped off in the straight. She tackled some of the best youngsters in Vic last prep, second-up last time she carried 58kg up the straight to place at 64-grade, she looks well in here considering she carries 57kg back at maiden level at the set weights. She has the wide draw but has shown speed in the past, hopefully they ride her positively and can get up on the speed. I have no doubt she has the ability to sit wide and still win this. If there is no serious money for those on debut, she looks a great bet back in this grade.

Moe Race 5
She may have had enough chances as this is her eighth trip to the races, but I like (7) Gracious Heart coming back to a mile on the heavy track. She was at this trip/track/condition two starts back where she ran on hard in a highweight to place. I like horses that can handle the conditions with the elevated weights, her most recent start was better than what it reads on paper also. She was ok through the line at Sale back near the inside when it was clearly better to be wider on the track, back her each-way and watch her hit the line hard.
