2013 AFL Finals betting tip: Sydney Vs. Fremantle

September 21st 2013, 3:27pm, By: admin

Game: 2013 AFL Finals 2nd Preliminary – Fremantle Dockers Vs. Sydney Swans
When: Saturday, September 21st at 7.30pm AEST – Patersons Stadium

The 1st preliminary final between the Hawthorn Hawks and the Geelong Cats on Friday night was a cracking game that could have gone either way right up until the siren. We don’t expect the 2nd preliminary final between the Fremantle Dockers and the Sydney Swans to go the same way.

So, before you bet, check out our free AFL betting tip below.

Taking place at home ground Patersons Stadium is a big plus for the Dockers. They have also had a week off, which proved to be a big plus for the Hawks on Friday night. Sydney on the other hand had a tough battle against a hungry Carlton last week and will be a little sore. The form of Fremantle can’t be overlooked either as they outclassed one of the classiest outfits of the last several years in Geelong two weeks ago – at the Cats home ground!

The Swans and the Dockers finished with a draw the last time they played in 2013, but that was in Sydney and the Swans were a much fitter side. On Saturday they will be without Kurt Tippet and young gun Tom Mitchell. Captain Jarred McVeigh pretty much got the Swans over the line single handedly against the Blues last week, but surely wont be able to that against a much stronger Fremantle outfit.

The Dockers should be too strong against the Swans for sure, so the question is, how much will the Dockers win by?

The line is set at around 22 points, which is a risky line that we want to stay from. In 2013, when the Dockers win against a quality outfit, it’s more often than not by a margin under 5-6 goals. Apart from against teams like Melbourne, GWS, Gold Coast etc, the last time the Dockers got close to blowing out a quality team was against Nth Melbourne in Round 13 when they won by 38 points. Their style of football simply means they don’t move away from teams by big margins. Consider the Under 39.5.

Bet On: Fremantle to win by 1-39 points

As always, be sure to check out some of the best Australian sportsbooks on the links below. You can get some great deposit bonuses and score some extra cash.

Right now, the sportsbooks with the best odds on Fremantle Under 39.5 points include Bet365, Sportsbet, Centrebet and Betfair where you can get around the $2.00 mark. Luxbet isn’t quite as generous at the moment, offering just $1.87.
