Caulfield hosts Saturday racing this week and while the good horses are spelling, there are still winners to be found on this nine race program. The track is predicted to be a Soft7 and there are three best bets that I have chosen on the program. The two year olds start us off and they haven’t had much race experience so I have left that race alone. Race one starts at 11:55am (AEST), while the last finishes relatively early at 4:45pm (AEST).

Race 3: Selangor Turf Club Handicap 1400m - 1pm (AEST)
(5) Yes Yoshi has drawn badly in barrier 13 but he did have a wide barrier at Flemington last start (10) and he still hit the line hard for 4th. He will get back again and with this race being his third run in this campaign he should be a lot fitter in this event. He won't want the track any wetter because all of his best runs were on dry tracks. Did win at Culfield Heath earlier in the year when carrying 59kg. Carries 56.5kg here.
(2) Bel Mezyaan ran on well for 2nd at Bendigo last start and he is capable on Soft tracks. The start prior he was 2nd and ran on well when favourite at Lakeside. Go close if can jump better this time and use barrier 5.
(7) Celtics was unlucky last start (6th) and gets the inside barrier for this event. Before that start on May 1 he was a winner where on that occasion he carried 60.5kg. Drops weight here and Willow is on.

Race 6: JRA Handicap 2000m - 2:45pm (AEST)
(11) SImurgh was a 1.5L winner at this track last start over this trip and conditions suit again. Willow stays on and he is carrying the same weight for this one. A Soft7 is predicted again and barrier 3 looks ideal.He has done well since coming to Australia and there may be a race or two for him in the Spring.
(7) Sly Boots is consistent enough and he's third up here at Caulfield. He had a bad barrier last start (12) and barrier five looks like he won't get caught wide in this event.
(8) Oceana Dream has a win and a third to his name at this track at his last couple of starts. He is lightly raced and he place when third up last prep.

Race 9: Darren Gauci Handicap 1200m - 4:35pm (AEST)
(3) Stolli Bolli I am tipping again for about the eighth time in his 18 start career. He won for us at Bendigo on May 2 after running on well and I think he can run on powerfully again in this race. He was fav last start at Flemington when we didn’t fancy him and he ran 7th. He likes this distance and I think Jackson Radley will position him up about third last before he lets down late over the final 300m.
(7) Elouyou likes Soft tracks and he has a good record over this distance. He has won 2 from 3 when second up which is attractive.
(9) Semillion Is over the odds at 30-1 in this race. if the track stays a Soft7 or increases to Heavy he is worth a small play. His last campaign was poor but he has trialed up well. Down in class but may need a couple of runs.
