Round 2 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season will continue this Sunday with another huge daily fantasy contest on offer from Draftstars with over $60,000 in guaranteed prize money in their main daily fantasy tournament.
This Sunday being the wrap up of a bye Round 2 means we have a very fun two game slate to dive into. There are two great fantasy options on this slate, with things getting underway mid afternoon as Port Adelaide host Essendon at the Adelaide Oval. The Power are coming into this game off a disgraceful loss in their opening match last week and will be very keen to put on a show infront of their hometown fans against the Bombers who had their own troubles in week one. The night cap will see West Coast hosting North Melbourne at Optus Stadium. Heading into the year this would have been one of the games the Eagles had circled as a real opportunity to get a win, however if round one is any indication things won’t be any easier against North Melbourne.
Draftstars are offering a number of different contests to suit your style, some of these include:
AFL $60,000+ Sunday at Draftstars
AFL $5,000+ Sunday High Roller ($150 Entry) at Draftstars
AFL $3,000+ Sunday Mini ($2 Entry) at Draftstars
AFL $2,000+ Sunday Micro (50c Entry) at Draftstars
Also this season the AFL Star is back for 2026 with a massive $1 million prize pool! Win your way into the Final by winning a Golden Ticket in a range of qualifiers running every weekend!

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 2 – Sunday
AFL Fantasy Round 2 – Sunday: Where to Attack?
Given it is only Round 2 we continue to rely on prior year trends to guide our decision making.
We are blessed with two of the easiest teams to score fantasy points against on this slate. Firstly in the opening match Essendon offer a great game stacking target as they appear to continue their trend of being a bottom side in 2026. Over their last 10 games spanning back into 2025 they have given up the fourth most points in the league to inside midfielders, second most to general forwards and the fifth most to key forwards. They cap this off with the second most points to designated kickers (over 7 points per game above league average), meaning we can really load up Port across any position on the ground in this game.
Then in hammer game we have West Coast, who are essentially the worst team in the league, arguably the worst team since Fitzroy in the 1990’s and will really be battling to just match their win total of 1 from last year. Over their last 10 games they have given up the most points in the league to inside midfielders (over 8 points per game above league average), the most points in the league to general forwards (also over 8 points per game above league average) and slightly above average points to key forwards.
Game Script – Port Adelaide key forwards, North Melbourne general forwards, North Melbourne midfielders, Port Adelaide designated kicker
AFL Fantasy Round 2 – Sunday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Hamish Davis ($6,900) has produced a very solid preseason and won the role on the wing for West Coast to start this season. He has shown solid fantasy output in this role with a 75 point game in round one in what was a huge loss by the Eagles to the Gold Coast Suns. I would expect playing North at home should make for a closer contest and more possession for the Eagles, and love Davis as a value play at nearly minimum price.
Tom Blamires ($9,990) was a standout new recruit in Round 1 for North Melbourne posting 77 fantasy points while playing a fantasy valuable role off half back. Looking for him to replicate that against West Coast is not a high expectation, and you could opt to stack him up with other North backs, including Luke Paker who notched up 100 points in Round one playing a new role as the quarterback off half back.
AFL Fantasy Round 2 – Sunday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Mitch Georgiades ($10,180) has one of the best matchups in the league for key forwards this week against Essendon. As noted above they have been giving up over 5 points per game above league average to the position over their last 10 games, and really have no great matchup option for Mitch. Port are 16 point favourites in this game and I expect it could blow out much more than that. This is a boom or bust play, but his ceiling is more than enough to win you are big tournament.
Deven Robertson ($11,990) has landed in a plumb role with the Eagles for his fantasy scoring. Finally playing as an inside midfielder he attended over 40% of their centre bounces last week against Gold Coast. He converted this into 104 fantasy points on the back of a massive 12 tackles. This weeks matchup should be much more favourable with North giving up above average fantasy points to inside midfielders over their last 10 games and I would expect an uplift in Dev’s possession count this week.
AFL Fantasy Round 2 – Sunday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Tristan Xerri ($16,970)… let’s juts lock and load the opposition ruckman who is playing West Coast each week until further notice. Xerri will absolutely dominate around the ground and should not have trouble in the ruck contests against a similarly ground locked Flynn. Last Witts absolutely dominated West Coast to the tune of 115 fantasy points and I expect that performance to be matched by Xerri this week.
North Melbourne inside midfielders – Luke Davies-Uniacke ($15,520), Harry Sheezel ($17,940), Finn O’Sullivan ($10,060)… pick your poison in the best matchup in the league for this position. My lean is Davies-Uniacke due to price, but stack them all up if you wish. It is a great play!
