AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 11 Sunday
AFL Fantasy Round 11 Sunday: Where to Attack?
GWS have been fairly solid across the board from a fantasy defensive perspective this season with one glaring exception — opposition ruckmen. The Giants are currently allowing the second most fantasy points in the league to the ruck position, trailing only Carlton, which immediately puts Brisbane’s big men firmly in play on this slate.
The Lions are predictably difficult to score against across most positions, but they do occasionally allow key forwards to get off the chain, particularly when games open up in transition. That creates at least some appeal for GWS forwards in tournament builds.
The later matchup between the Bulldogs and Demons shapes as one of the better fantasy environments of the round. Melbourne’s aggressive pressure and all-out attacking style has helped them to a strong 7-3 record, but it also creates fantasy-friendly conditions for opposition players. General forwards, running defenders and designated kickers have all scored extremely well against the Demons throughout the season.
On the other side, the Bulldogs continue to allow defenders to rack up uncontested marks and easy transition ball, which keeps Melbourne’s backline firmly in play from a DFS perspective.
Game script: Brisbane rucks and midfielders, Bulldogs forwards and midfielders, along with Melbourne defenders.
AFL Fantasy Round 11 Sunday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Arthur Jones ($6,000) - Melbourne may be the talk of the town at the moment, but they are still giving up big fantasy scores both in-game and on the stat sheet because of how aggressive they play. This should be a high-scoring, end-to-end matchup and regardless of the result, there should be plenty of opportunity for Bulldogs forwards to hit the scoreboard and pile up fantasy points. Jones looks nicely placed at this price point.
Blake Howes ($8,410) - Howes has seen a significant spike in involvement over the last month, posting disposal totals of 20, 16, 19 and 19 after much quieter numbers earlier in the season. The matchup against the Bulldogs should allow him to continue that trend as Melbourne defenders consistently find uncontested ball and easy marks against this opposition.
AFL Fantasy Round 11 Sunday: Our Mid-Priced Fantasy Picks
Joel Freijah ($12,800) - There was a lot of hype around Freijah taking the next step this season and while it has not fully materialised yet, this feels like the exact type of game environment that could spark a breakout performance. The expected high-scoring nature of this matchup should give him plenty of opportunities both through the midfield and forward of the ball, which suits his fantasy profile perfectly.
AFL Fantasy Round 11 Sunday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Finn Callaghan ($14,490) - Callaghan has produced four scores of 100+ already this season and while he was quieter last week with 75 fantasy points, this shapes as a strong bounce-back opportunity. The Giants midfielder generally performs extremely well at ENGIE Stadium and if GWS are able to stay competitive against Brisbane, expect Callaghan to be heavily involved through the middle all afternoon.
Kysaiah Pickett ($14,100) - Much like Freijah, Pickett looks ideally suited to the likely game environment in this matchup. The free-flowing nature of games involving both Melbourne and the Bulldogs creates enormous upside for explosive players capable of impacting both through the midfield and on the scoreboard, and Pickett has been doing exactly that throughout the season.
