AFL Daily Fantasy Tips 2026: Round 10 Friday

May 14th 2026, 3:26pm, By: Jesse Penfold

AFL Fantasy Tips

Round 10 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season continues this Friday night with another huge daily fantasy contest on offer from Draftstars with over $50,000 in guaranteed prize money in their main daily fantasy tournament.

This Friday serves up a cracking double-header with Sydney hosting Collingwood at the SCG and Gold Coast taking on Port Adelaide at TIO Stadium in Darwin. Sydney arrive at the SCG at 8-1 ladder leaders and massive favourites — averaging 117 points per game and 4-0 at home in 2026 with an average winning margin of 41 points at this ground. The Collingwood injury situation has reached crisis point for this game. Darcy Moore is out with concussion, Scott Pendlebury is rested with his all-time games record-breaking match scheduled for next week in Melbourne, Darcy Cameron has an ankle injury and Patrick Lipinski is in concussion protocols — four significant outs across the defensive, midfield and ruck positions simultaneously. For the Swans Charlie Curnow will return after missing last week along with key back Tom McCartin and utility Jai Serong.

The Darwin game will offer some juicy fantasy action. Gold Coast have won nine straight matches at TIO Stadium going back to 2022 — one of the most dominant venue records in the competition — and host a Port Adelaide side that has lost two heartbreakers in a row and arrives without Connor Rozee and Miles Bergman. Matt Rowell will return for the Suns to bolster their strong midfield.

Draftstars are offering a number of different contests to suit your style, some of these include:

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round Ten – Friday Slate

AFL Fantasy Round Ten - Friday: Where to Attack?

The data over the last 10 games is exceptionally clear for this slate — and the primary attacking angle is the Collingwood designated kicker position.

Collingwood have been giving up over 8 points above league average to the designated kicker — the standout number in this game — and a further 5 above average to wings and half backs. Loading up the Swans backline in stacks will be an obvious play on this slate. Sydney on their side have been almost completely impenetrable — the Swans have been restricting key forwards to over 12 points below average and inside midfielders to 6 below average over the last 10 games. I would be avoiding Collingwood's inside midfielders and the forward line entirely and focusing almost exclusively on Sydney stacks.

In the Darwin game, Gold Coast have been giving up over 6 points above average to inside midfielders — the primary attack angle for any Port Adelaide plays — while Port have been heavily suppressing key forwards at less than 6 points below average making Gold Coast's forward line a trap despite the dominant home record.

Game Script – Sydney swan backs, Port Adelaide midfielders, Sydney forwards

AFL Fantasy Round Ten - Friday: Our Value Fantasy Picks

Oscar Steene ($7,050) is a near minimum-price tournament play of the round. Craig McRae confirmed that ruck duties will fall to the 22-year-old after ruling out Darcy Cameron with an ankle injury, and McRae described Steene as "a revelation in seven games this season in centre bounces" — high praise for a young ruckman stepping into the biggest individual ruck challenge of his career in Brodie Grundy. His last three scores of 51, 45 and 39 all came in a shared ruck role with Cameron where his TOG and hitout count were heavily rationed — as the sole ruckman against Sydney at the SCG, that changes entirely. The new ruck rules that came into effect this season are widely noted to suit his strengths, and Collingwood's midfield — already stripped of Pendlebury, Moore, Cameron and Lipinski — will lean heavily on their young big man to generate any contested ball at the centre bounce. At $7,050 for a confirmed primary ruckman in a game Collingwood desperately need contributions from unexpected sources, he is a lock in any tournament lineup needing salary cap relief

Charlie Curnow ($9,520) is a boom-or-bust value play this week. He has been named and expected to play, and at this price point his case to roster is compelling. His 115-point performance two weeks ago was his best game in Sydney colours — and this week the Swans are strong favourites against a Collingwood side missing their number one key defender in Moore.

Christian Moraes ($8,340) has been improving as the season goes on and has posted a run of 61, 74, 96 scores in limited game time. Gold Coast have been giving up over 6 points above average to midfielders so I like putting Moraes in Port Adelaide midfield stacks to save some roster money and spend up a few obvious premium plays.

AFL Fantasy Round Ten - Friday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks

Nick Blakey ($12,980) is the lock on this slate in my view due to his elite matchup and role. The Swans most dangerous player off half back, with his leg speed, creativity and long kicking regularly getting the Swans halfway up the SCG, he is Sydney's primary kick-in taker and arrives at the Marn Grook fixture against Collingwood in a matchup that could not be more favourable. As noted above the Magpies have been giving up over 8 points above league average to the designated kicker. He will be my first point of call for stacking up Swans backs on this slate.

AFL Fantasy Round Ten - Friday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks

Brodie Grundy ($15,670) will face his former club this Friday night and the matchup against Oscar Steene is as one-sided as any ruck contest on the slate all season. In career-best form at Sydney after completely revitalising his career, his last three scores of 54, 128 and 116 average 99 points with that 54 the outlier from his contested battle against one of the other top rucks in the league last week in Xerri. The 128 and 116 are the reference points that show exactly what his ceiling looks like against conventional opposition. Against a 22-year-old with seven AFL games of experience, his hitout count, clearance work and ground-level accumulation should be elite from the opening bounce at the SCG. In a game Sydney are expected to win comfortably against a depleted Collingwood side it is a lock and load for me.

Zak Butters ($16,570) is a standout premium play in the Darwin game. He arrives at TIO Stadium with an extraordinary personal record against this opponent — 35 disposals in each of his past two matches against the Suns. Gold Coast have been giving up over 6 points above league average to inside midfielders — the second highest concession rate to that position in the competition — and Hardwick generally does not apply a tag, meaning Butters should bring up his eighth straight 30-disposal game running completely free through the centre. His last three scores of 109, 112 and 88 average 103 points with that 88 the outlier from a tight contested game — the 109 and 112 are the reference points for what he delivers when given the space to accumulate, and in the heat and humidity of Darwin where the game opens up and running midfielders thrive, his ceiling extends well beyond those numbers.
