A super fun three-game slate this Sunday to close out Round 9 of the 2025 AFL Premiership season. Things get underway in a spoon battle between Richmond and West Coast who are sitting 16th and 18th on the ladder respectively. This will likely be an attractive game for daily fantasy players but the football quality itself might be lacking. The game of the day will be the mid afternoon clash between Geelong and GWS at GMHBA. Both sides are sitting in the top eight and will be looking for a big win to move closer to the top four. The nightcap and hammer game will give us a stacking option with the second placed Brisbane facing off against the 17th placed North Melbourne at Ninja Stadium in Hobart.

Where to Attack?
There are plenty of options to attack on this slate. The first game that stands out is the West Coast vs Richmond matchup, which is no surprise given that where they are standing on the ladder. The Eagles are giving up the most points in the league to key forwards this season at over 12 points per game above the league average and also the most points in the league to general forwards. Richmond, on the other hand, are giving up the most points in the league to inside midfielders and the most in the league across the defensive positions.
The other option to target on this slate is game stacks in the Brisbane vs North Melbourne game. Brisbane are 37 point favourites and North are giving up high point totals to forwards and inside midfielders.

VALUE PLAYS
Brady Hough ($9,220) / Tom Gross ($6,380)
Hough has been moved into the midfield the last two games with varying levels of success. He has attended 70+% of their centre bounces the last two weeks and returned 81 points in the first week but just 46 points last week. This matchup looks tasty as noted above against Richmond, however, even if he returns to the backline, it remains a solid matchup to stack Eagles defenders in.
If Tom Gross comes back in and plays a full game, he is one player who may take some of Hough’s inside midfielder time. In the two full games he has played he returned 62 and 72 fantasy points and he was attending over 66% centre bounces in both games.
Tom Lynch ($7,120)… although he is a shadow of his former self these days, he still has the upside to return value at this price point as shown by his 83 point performance two weeks ago. This will be the best matchup he will have all season as West Coast give up the most points in the league to key forwards.
Dylan Stephens ($8,540) is an interesting option on this slate after playing some time across half back en route to a 91 point game last week. Love stacking the North backs down at Hobart in this matchup.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Kieren Briggs ($11,860) will draw the second-best matchup in the league for rucks against Geelong who are giving up over 13 points per game above league average. An alternate option is to spend up to up to Toby Nankervis who plays the Eagles who are giving up over 22 points above league average.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Tim Taranto ($15,660) is the premium option for stacking midfielders against West Coast. He is spending plenty of time in the midfield and has been racking up scores lately with two of his last three at 109 and 120.
Harry Sheezel ($16150)… there is nothing better for fantasy scoring than a little bit of Sheezey ball. Playing across half back again has seen Sheezel return to his fantasy best posting a massive 134 point game last week. I love this matchup down at Hobart where North will be comfortable but should still see plenty of ball in their backline as Brisbane are heavy favourites.
