AFL Round 18s feature matchup this Thursday night will see Carlton host the reigning premiers, Brisbane, at Marvel Stadium. The Lions will be desperate for a road win here as they look to hold onto second spot and a home final. Meanwhile, Carlton’s disappointing season continues on as their chances of making finals are gone and they will be looking for a win to restore some pride with their supporters.
As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Thursday night game draws another massive $50,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:

AFL $5,000+ Blues vs Lions High Roller ($150 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 18 Carlton vs Brisbane
AFL Fantasy Round 18 Thursday Night: Where to Attack?
Calrton’s back line has started to get lit up over the last 10 games by opposition forwards, now tipping into the above average fantasy scoring. They are giving up over 1 point per game above league average to key forwards and over 2 points per game above to general forwards.
The Blues have also continued to give up fantasy points through the midfield all season. Opposition inside mids have been scoring at a rate of just under 3 points per game above league average. This sets up for a prototypical single game stack with the Lions as just under 5 goal favourites in this matchup, we can look to stack up their forward line and midfielders.
Ideally we would stack up the Blues back line with this lineup, however it is worth noting that the Lions give up the fewest points in the league to attacking half backs and general defenders.

AFL Fantasy Round 18 Thursday Night: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Lachlan Cowan ($8,790) paid off for us as a value play last week hitting a 89 point fantasy return. He has remained in a nice price point for this level of output and I love his role across the half back line in this single game slate.
Cooper Lord ($8,540) is looking a bit more speculative on his recent form, but when he was playing on the wing earlier in the season he had a nice run of five straight games of at least 71 fantasy points. Without Blake Acres in the lineup there will be plenty of opportunity for someone else to soak up the disposals across the wing and Lord will get some of that chance.
Kai Lohmann ($8,850) has had a rough season injury wise but looks to be back in the form that saw him as one of the Lions best during last years grand final. He posted am 84 point game just two weeks ago and this is an elite matchup for forwards, and I love stacking up some of the value smalls for the Lions so as to avoid their key position defenders.
AFL Fantasy Round 18 Thursday Night: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Marc Pittonet ($10,020)… this is a nasty slate for ruck selection as both sides are playing two rucks and both teams give up well below league average to rucks (both sides are bottom seven for points conceded to rucks). As a result I will spend the least money possible with Pittonet and spend up elsewhere. It is noted that Pittonet hit nicely last week with 93 fantasy points and has scored 87, 66 and 93 from his three games this year.
Jaspa Fletcher ($12,040) offers a nice floor at this price point with a 100+ point ceiling. There is not obvious matchup across the back lines so I am not looking for a stack or to spend right up on a premium here.
AFL Fantasy Round 18 Thursday Night: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Hugh McCluggage ($15,800) has become the Lions number one midfielder this season, and if you are looking to take advantage of the fact that Carlton give up the sixth most points in the league to inside midfielders, my stacks start with Hugh. He offers a low floor at around 90 points, but a 150 point upside this season.
