Round 10 for the 2025 AFL Premiership season will see a Friday night clash between Sydney and Carlton at the SCG. This game would have been anticipated to be a bigger clash at the time they were setting the schedule as no one would have expcted Sydney to be sitting 14th at this point in the season or for Carlton to be 10th. It is a critical match for both teams, however, if they still want to keep any hope of playing finals this year.
As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Friday night game draws another massive $60,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $60,000+ Swans vs Blues

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 10 Sydney vs Carlton
Weather
21 degrees and a shower or two easing. Solid conditions for football shouldn’t be much rain if any that impacts the game.
Where to Attack?
Despite these two sides standings on the ladder they have both been relatively stingy when it comes to fantasy points this season. Sydney especially have been one of the tighter teams in the league giving up below average points across all positions except for general defenders.
Meanwhile, Carlton have heavily restricted opposition forwards, namely key forwards, who they give up the second fewest fantasy points in the league to. They have been getting slightly beaten in the midfield, which is a reversal of a trend from last year, and across half back.

AFL Sydney vs Carlton: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Cooper Lord ($8,810) / Angus Sheldrick ($9,970)
It is unusual that we would pair two players like this from opposite teams, but they share one thing in common. Both are huge per minute fantasy scorers but both also struggle to avoid starting the game as the sub.
Angus Sheldrick has been averaging 38 fantasy points per game this season from just 29% TOG. In previous years when he is given a full game with midfield time he can post 100+ point scores and when he gets on, he has been attending 20% of the Swans centre bounces in his small game time.
Cooper Lord on the other hand has averaged 51 points per game from 50% gametime. He has been seeing less time in the midfield than Sheldrick from more game time but his scoring has still been up there for the time he spends on the ground.
There is a massive SUB WATCH on both of these players but on a single game slate for value, if they aren’t starting in the vest I’d be looking to have both in my lineups.
AFL Sydney vs Carlton: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Charlie Curnow ($10,750) has been back into consistent form the last five games with a low score of 78 across that time frame. His price is yet to really increase and on a single game slate should be a solid option up forward for the Blues.
Nick Blakey ($12,640) has been splitting kick in duties primarily with Matt Roberts this season. The Blues are giving up above average points to general defenders and attacking half backs, which leans me towards Blakey. He has been in top form in recent weeks coming off a 117 point game last week and an average of 90 points form his last three.
James Rowbottom ($12,610) should be able to take advantage of the fact that Carlton are giving up above average points to inside midfielders this season. He is nicely priced with 100+ upside on this slate. If you can afford to spend up slightly further, I also love Chad Warner ($13,990) who has abandoned the early season forward role and is now playing predominately in the midfield.
AFL Sydney vs Carlton: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Patrick Cripps (14,720) has been in top fantasy scoring form in recent weeks with an average 111 fantasy points from his last three games, including a 131 point game against Geelong. His price still sits nicely under $15k on this single game slate and given this game is being played at the SCG, it should be heavily contested game with higher numbers of stoppages that will suit Cripps game style.
