NBL Grand Final Series: Game 2 Betting Tips
Tasmania JackJumpers vs Sydney Kings
MyState Bank Arena, 2:30pm AEST
The JackJumpers couldn’t go with the explosive Kings in the second half of Game 1, getting outscored 52-38 en route to a wire-to-wire loss. However, that win came as a cost for the Kings with MVP Jaylen Adams hurting his hamstring early in the fourth quarter. Adams has been ruled out for Game 2 as a result, but will potentially return for Game 3 in Sydney.
The Kings had an even spread on the offensive end in Game 1 with four players scoring 14+ points. The JackJumpers also had four guys in double-digits in the scoring column, but their efficiency was way down in comparison. Semi-finals hero Josh Adams connected on just four of his 18 attempts from the floor and will need to be far, far better if the JackJumpers are to win on Sunday and push the Kings in this best-of-five series.
These teams played each other twice at MyState Bank Arena this season and split those games with one win apiece. The JackJumpers won the first meeting in a 77-73 slog, but the Kings hit back in their following meeting via a 103-83 shootout. When looking at the results for the JackJumpers both in the regular season and the finals it’s clear to see that they need the game to be a much slower pace for them to have success. After giving up 95 points in Game 1, I expect the JackJumpers to make the necessary adjustments on defence and to tie the series at 1-1, particularly with Adams missing through injury.

Ian Clark had one of his better games for the Kings in Game 1 after signing mid-season as an import. His importance to this team became much greater after Jaylen Adams went down with a hamstring injury on Friday. I suspect it will be Clark who’s picked to fill the void for most of Adams minutes, which will give him the opportunity to have a bigger scoring night than we’re used to seeing from him.
Ian Clark 16+ Points ($1.82 Ladbrokes)
As mentioned above, Josh Adams had a nightmare Game 1 when hitting just four of his 18 field goal attempts. He has been a bit hit and miss all season long, but he certainly won’t go into his shell in Game 2. I expect him to put up 20ish shots again on Sunday and for him to bounce back with a much better stat line.
Josh Adams 17+ Points ($1.87 Ladbrokes)
