2020-21 NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday 16th February

NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 16th February

The exciting NBA season continues on Tuesday with six games scheduled for play. There are some really intriguing matchups among the six and we have our best spread bets and player prop bets for them right here!

NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday, 16th of February

Houston Rockets at Washington Wizards

Capital One Arena, 11am AEDT

Houston Rockets are going through a tough period at the moment having lost five games on the spin. Injuries have been the primary cause of their struggles with Christian Wood and Victory Oladipo both missing chunks of time. The Rockets are now 11-15, which isn’t too bad considering what they’ve had to deal with this season.

Washington Wizards are coming off arguably their most impressive win of the season so far, defeating the Celtics by double-digits on Monday. Russell Westbrook suited up and was a big part of the win, but will unfortunately miss Tuesday’s game as it’s the second night of a back-to-back. The Wizards moved to 7-17 with the win, which is still the worst record in the East.

These clubs met just a couple of weeks ago in Houston and it was the Rockets who cruised to an easy win. The Rockets have gone on a horror stretch since that win, but if there’s ever a game for John Wall and co. to bounce back in, it’s this one. We have them beating the Westbrook-less Wizards at even money.

The Rockets are missing two of their best scorers for this game, so there’s extra incentive for John Wall to be aggressive against his old team. In an emotional return to DC, we have Wall putting up a ton of shots

Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks

Madison Square Garden, 11:30pm AEDT

Atlanta Hawks have really missed DeAndre Hunter in his absence and come into this game having lost six of their past seven games. The Hawks teased fans with some really good form early in the season, but have now dropped to 11-15 and 10th spot in the East.

New York Knicks have battled on well this season despite having limited talent on their roster. Coach Thibs has done a wonderful job with what he has at his disposal, leading his young Knicks to a 13-15 record, which is good for seventh in the East.

Not many pundits had the Knicks faring better than the Hawks this season, but that’s the way it’s panned out thus far. The Knicks also have the healthier roster of the two clubs at the moment, which made it a surprise seeing them as underdogs on their home court in this one. We see them as definite value and are more than happy to take the $2 available.

One of, if not the key reason the Knicks have done so well this season is because of the incredible play of Julius Randle. He’s playing like an All-Star in our opinion and has a favourable matchup against the Hawks frontcourt whom he dropped 28 on earlier this season. We have him going for another big game on Tuesday.

Brooklyn Nets at Sacramento Kings

Golden 1 Center, 2pm AEDT

Brooklyn Nets have had a rocky start with their big three, but their past couple of performances have shown what they’re capable of when they’re locked in on the defensive end. Their last two games have been double-figure wins and have seen the Nets go to 16-12 on the season and third in the East.

Sacramento Kings went a fantastic stretch where they won 7/8 games and surged up the rankings in the West, but they’ve lost their momentum with three losses on the spin to ball back below .500. The Kings were really disappointing last time out at home to the Grizzlies where they were down by double-digits pretty much from start to finish.

These clubs haven’t met each other yet this season but the Nets are clearly the better of the two. They’ve been exceptional on the defensive end in their past two and as long as they bring the same attitude, then they should be able to make relatively light work of the Kings.
