2015 NFL: Week 7 Preview & Betting Tips

October 22nd 2015, 11:11pm, By: Johnny Houston

It's been a weird year betting on the NFL in 2015, but as we gain more incite we can really start to find edges - hopefully including upcoming games as we offer up our 2015 NFL Week 7 betting tips.

_ _ _

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers – Friday, Oct 23 at 11:25am AEST

Both the Seahawks and the 49ers find themselves at 2-4 and already two games behind the NFC West divisional leaders the Arizona Cardinals. It’s no shock that the 49ers find themselves in this position but for the Seahawks to be just two wins at this stage of the season comes at a big shock.

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has looked better in his last two games but that was against well below average defensive teams. His record against the Seahawks is just embarrassing and we will see Kaepernick regress to the old quarterback we love to bet against.

This is a game that can set the tone for the rest of the Seahawks season especially on defense. Bobby Wagner will return at Linebacker and I believe they will stand up and make a statement. Maybe not a shutout but close to.
Tip: Seattle Seahawks at the line (-6.5) - $1.90 at CrownBet

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants – Monday, Oct 26 at 7:25am AEST

NFC East rivals do battle in a Sunday night football matchup and a win could put either team on top of the division. Although this is nothing new to the NFC East division as it seems to have a rotating leader each and every week.

Let’s start with the Giants. They were disgraceful against the Eagles Monday night. Turn over after turnover saw the Eagles secure an easy win. Eli Manning threw two interceptions, one was returned for a touchdown. He has been better at MetLife however the Cowboys are looking to win their fourth straight game there.

The Dallas Cowboys are yet again changing player at the QB position. Matt Cassel will replace Brandon Weeden who I thought has a lot of potential moving forward. There are also a numerous number of question marks at a number of positions for the Cowboys but none bigger than Dez Bryant who still looks like he’s another week or two away from starting.

In the past this has been a high scoring matchup and the opening total of 48 would suggest that there is going to be a lot of scoring. It’s early but 79% of bets have come for the Over yet the line is moving in the opposite direction. I like the Under in a game that I can see a lot of three and outs and the punter really earning his pay check on both teams.
Tip: Cowboys / Giants Total Game Score Under 46.5 - $1.82 at CrownBet

Philadelphia Eagles at Carolina Panthers – Monday, Oct 26 at 11:30am AEST

Last season we spoke about over valued and undervalued teams and to treat them like stocks. The tricky part (just like the stock market) is when to buy and when to sell. Although the Carolina Panthers are 5-0 they are still not getting the respect they deserve. Even after that game winning drive from Cam Newton late in the fourth to beat the Seahawks. Unbeaten, at home, legitimate defense and quarterback and still only 3.5 point favourites. Mmmm

The Philadelphia Eagles stocks must be high due to the MNF game on national TV and winning in such an easy manner. This game will not go that way. It’s not too late to BUY Panthers stocks!
Tip: Carolina Panthers at the line (-3.5) - $2.05 at Sportsbet

Baltimore Ravens at Arizona Cardinals – Tuesday, Oct 27 at 11:30am AEST

This Monday night football- battle of the birds matchup looks to be a one sided affair. Baltimore looks like they have already put the que back in the rack after they made the 49ers look good down by the bay. Now they head into the dessert to take on a very pissed off Arizona team.

Maybe it was the cold weather that Arizona couldn’t handle against Pittsburgh but they will be looking to make amends tonight. The Cardinals have an incredible record at home against the spread going 8-2 ATS and a tidy 13-6 in their last 19 games total.

The Ravens are allowing 27 points per game (ranked 27th) while the Cardinals are putting up an average of just over 33 points per game (ranked 2nd) I like Arizona to cover up to points and I like the over too.
Tip: Arizona Cardinals at the line (-8.5) - $2.05 at CrownBet
+ Total Game Score Over 48.0 - $1.96 at Sportsbet
