The Sprint Cup and Chairman’s Trophy headline today’s meeting at Sha Tin for Easter Sunday with extremely short favourites at the top of those markets. It’s going to be a great day of racing hopefully with a few winners to boot.
Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday April 9th
Race 6
(2) We Are Hero has been wiping the floor with his rivals in his recent races. Has had some time off since his last demolition job but returns here of a comfortable trial with Hugh Bowman aboard from an ideal gate in 11.
(8) Metro Warrior is a model of consistency over this 1000m trip at Sha Tin. He’s sure to be thereabouts again at the concluding stages.
(9) Run Run Cool has plenty of experience over this trip similarly to Metro Warrior. He’s drawn relatively well too so should be able to figure in the finish.
(2) We Are Hero win

Race 10
(3) Fantastic Treasure closed off well behind Circuit Stellar last time for 2nd. Hugh Bowman is aboard this time and can get the horse over the line with a 3kg weight swing in his favour.
(9) Red Lion finally won a race last time down in class 3. He’s up to class 2 this time and will find it tougher but has Zac Purton aboard again from a decent alley in 6.
(1) Circuit Stellar gets a mention here having won so emphatically last start under Zac Purton. He’s sided with Red Lion here but Circuit Stellar should remain in good form and prove tough to beat if he can get a good enough run.

Race 11
(12) Happy Day is drawn well today in gate 4 and has a light weight to carry for Alexis Badel. Should be able to win this race with a bit of luck from back in the field over his preferred 1400m trip.
(4) Solid Impact ran well last time and is drawn well today for Hugh Bowman so should be able to run well again.
(6) Run Run Buddy will need to overcome a very wide gate here so may not be able to win this race but has to be considered for the minors given how well he’s going.
