Ladbrokes Park (Hillside) will host eight races on Wednesday to headline racing in Victoria. The track is predicted to be a Soft 5, and the two-year-old’s will get proceedings underway in Race 1 at 12:25pm (AEST).

Race 2: Evergreen Turf Handicap - 1pm (AEST)
(2) Diamonds in the Sky is a former Peter Moody galloper who has been training well for Gavin Bedgood. He won well in a jumpout last week (Cranbourne) and the horses he beat on that occasion includes the classy Inundation and Forgot You. The mare won't want any rain on Wednesday morning because she is a lot better on a Good track. Billy Pinn takes the ride for the first time.
(1) Bifrost has drawn well in barrier 3 and he has raced in harder races than this. He also run well in a jumpout a fortnight ago when running 3rd behind two gallopers who are Saturday class.
(3) Tax Free Prophet loves Good tracks having won 5 from 15 starts on them but is capable on the Soft. An upgrade would be nice.
(5) Twin Perfection settled handy enough when winning at Pakenham last start and she might get a nice run in transit again.
(2) Diamonds In The Sky - WIN

Race 3: Ive Handicap - 1:35pm (AEST)
(1) Hard Squeeze has drawn wide in 10 but did get out at the right time when winning by just under a length at Lakeside last start on the Heavy. She won’t get that surface here but she is capable enough on the Soft. Thomas Stockdale stays on and he has won and placed twice on this one. She hasn’t performed his best at this track but I am backing him to turn thing around on this occasion.
(2) Pearl Rain probably needs it damper but has been competitive in Listed races previously. Her form has been poor but her stable is on fire.
(4) Angel of Light has drawn well in 2 for the Hawkes team and did run on very well for a win at Lakeside last start. This is harder though. Would like an upgrade to a Good track on what is her first time here.
(6) Botany is racing well for Moody but just can't seem to win. I had her on top last time but it was a 2nd. Will likely be on pace.

Race 6: Ladbrokes OddsSurge Handicap - 3:20pm (AEST)
(5) Ellen’s Licence is the tip here in what is a very interesting race. This mare gets the nod on weights really with Tasman Park forced to carry 62kg in this one. She was plain when 4th last start after settling 2nd but I think she will have improved from that run and if you watch her run prior (1st), she was way too good at Donald. The Soft surface suits and Craig Williams is on this time.
(6) Arktika I have chosen on this site a few times but she has been disappointing so far this campaign. Trained by the leading Maher & Eustace stable, you just can't leave her out of contention. She settled 2nd last time buy faded. Meets a few of these again but improvement is expected.
(2) Tasman Park is probably the best horse in the race but is carrying the high weight this time. He should have won 2 starts back when wide, and then last start when 2nd, he looked the winner at the 100m but was out gunned by a Damien Oliver special.
(3) Jabbawockeez beat a few of these last start and Ollie stays on. Barrier 2 is a good get.

Race 8: Ladbrokes Live betting Handicap - 4:30pm (AEST)
(13) Jenniferenti hasn’t jumped out well recently but that isn’t unusual for this horse. Before her spell though she ran on well when 2nd (beaten fav) and before that she stormed home to win at Terang. That race shows that she has enough ability for this.
(10) Magnetic Prince has come back from his spell well with a win and 2nd to his name. He has good Soft track form and he is ready to strike third up.
(8) Rheinberg was a 4L Sale winner last start when favourite and he may start fav again. Does have barrier 13 though which was my concern.
(1) Blazerro was outclassed at Caulfield last start but can run well here at a distance he likes.
