Racing returns to Eagle Farm again this Saturday to headline racing in Queensland. The rail is out 6m the entirety after being out 4m last week with no bias evident – selections are for a GOOD track – watch and monitor for any pattern if possible.

Race 5: Sky Racing BM80 1830m at 3:08pm (AEDT)
(4) BAANONE ($15 / 3.70) – one of the better roughies of the day. Has form around NIKAU SPUR, SHOPPING ESPIRIT and SELEQUE which has stood up over the last few months and ties in with key rival FIFTH POSITION. I think we’re getting such a large price because of his racing pattern, the fact he’s been up for a while, and an apprentice goes up. Conversely, he gets in so well at the weights after the claim (BLACKCOMB only gives him 2.5kgs but is rated 12 points lower). He finished third in the Toowoomba Cup LS and was clearly the best of the closers up the inside (first two in front at the 600m mark finished first and second / he was last turning for home). If there’s genuine tempo and runners can get their chance from midfield and beyond, he’s way over the odds. Blowout hope (0.5 units win / 1 unit place).
(5) KRONENBOURG ($2.90) – The favourite who boasts a nice resume and has won 4 of his last 5 outings. Distance the only query here and Orman can be hard to catch for yours truly of late. Should be rock hard fit and capable of another good run.

Race 6: Drinkwise BM75 1200m at 3:43pm (AEDT)
(13) OUTLAWED ($3.60) – looks a progressive type who is still on the up. Has returned in great order this time in finishing in the top 2 in all five of her runs. She was dominant three-back when sitting back off a hot tempo and coming over the top of them to win by almost 3L. She then had the gun run behind TIGER SHARK two-back and was taking significant ground off that runner late (good gaps behind) on a day when the fence was hot (TIGER SHARK has since run well again). Went to Toowoomba LS and was forced to do a lot of work early from a wide gate to sit OSL before giving a nice kick to hold them all off (terrific run). Has another sticky gate to contend with today and goes against the boys, but I think she can measure up. Happy her way (2 units win)
(1) POCKET FULL ($6.50/$2.25) – 4YO who won over this distance/grade last start nicely after a peach of a ride. Gets a 3kg claim on today which puts him half a kilo lighter off that last run. Can play another role at an each way price.

Race 9: XXXX Gold Hcp Class 6 at 4:33pm (AEDT)
(3) CHATTY LADY ($5.00) – best bet of the day in QLD! Excellent return over an unsuited trip at 1100m when she was run off her legs early before being inconvenienced turning for home and then hitting the line hard (nice work late). She went to 1300m at Toowoomba LS and was forced back to last from a wide gate before she got to the outside and let rip to beat the smart ARNAQUEUR who was well backed (beat the rest easily / was spec’d in the betting / terrific TOF). Gets to 1400m today with Orman up (both ticks), is third-up, won very well this track/trip in 3YO Open Grade last year, and should be able to settle closer in the run from a good gate. STAR OF CHAOS and PREACH look to inject good speed in the race with HAMLET VON SNITZEL so I think she can have last crack and swoop over the top. Keen she runs well.
