September 28th 2016, 8:00pm, By: C.McGregor9

The 2016-17 EPL season continues this weekend with Manchester City remaining perfect with all victories. Continue reading for our EPL Week 7 Preview and Betting Tips.

Everton vs Crystal Palace (Saturday 5am AEST)

The Toffees suffered their first loss of the 2016-17 EPL campaign as they fell on the road to Bournemouth. It was a disappointing match as the side wasn’t able to score a goal and they had created plenty of chances to do so. Romelu Lukaku had been picking up form and he will take a lot of confidence into this match as he has a great record against the Eagles. Lukaku has put three past this weekend’s opponent in his last four meetings and he will be backing himself to do the job at home.

However, Crystal Palace have bounced back from a slow start and has won their last three premier league matches to climb into seventh spot on the ladder and be above a logjam of sides. To boost their confidence they will head to Goodison Park, a place where they have had a lot of recent success on the road as they have won two and drew one of the last three matches at the venue.

Palace has begun to pick up its best form and they are notorious for being a strong side on the road. The Toffees will be tough to beat at home and we are predicting the two sides to split the competition points.

Swansea City vs Liverpool (Saturday 9.30pm AEST)

Liverpool fans are beginning to have real faith in the side again after they grabbed another convincing win on the weekend. A 5-1 win at home against Hull City showed that the Reds attacking streak is continuing as they have scored 11 goals in their past three premier league matches. It is a good position for Jurgen Klopp to be in but there are still defensive deficiencies that the side will need to work on if they are to be consistent. However, if they continue to score over four goals than they will be nearly impossible to defeat.

Meanwhile Swansea City have had their worst start to the premier league season in recent history. They have lost four of their last five matches and are siting one competition point outside of the relegation zone. It is still way too early to be worrying about that but the side has leaked 10 goals in six matches and only found the back of the net on four occasions. The Reds will be able to crack their defence early on and go on to secure another convincing victory.

Manchester United vs Stoke City (Sunday 10pm AEST)

Just when everyone was ready to write the Red Devils off, they bounce back in style with a 4-1 victory against the defending champions Leicester City. The side entered that match with a lot of pressure placed on them as they had lost three straight matches in all competitions, including two in the premier league but four first half goals quickly had fans and the media forgetting about their current predicament. Wayne Rooney was dropped to the bench and could only watch on as his side dominated without him and created plenty of goal scoring chances. Paul Pogba capped off the terrific half with his first goal for the Red Devils in what was his best performance since returning from Juventus for a record fee.

Stoke City had their best result of the season on the weekend, unfortunately for them it was just a draw and they still find themselves in the bottom two on the table. They have struggled in the opening stages of the competition to score goals whilst their defence has been even worse. We are predicting them to lose this match but they will hold on for a draw in the opening 45-minutes, largely due to the fact Manchester United will be backing up after an Europa League match and will be flat.

TIP: HT/FT – Draw/Manchester United @ $4.00 with Sportsbet

Tottenham vs Manchester City (Monday 12.15am AEST)

If history between these two sides is anything to go by, then we are in for a thrilling and high scoring encounter. There has been 22 goals in the past five meetings between Tottenham and Manchester City at White Hart Lane. Nine of those goals have gone to the Spurs with City bagging 13 – due to their huge victory against the Spurs a couple of years ago.

The Spurs were able to get over their Champions League disappointment in the first leg to grab a narrow 1-0 victory against CSKA Moscow on the road. That was a part of a four-game winning streak the Spurs are currently on and they will take more confidence into the match after their success against City last year. The Spurs won both of those matches in convincing fashion but prior to that it had been all one-way traffic.

City won’t be short of confidence themselves as they find themselves as the clear leaders of the Premier League with six straight victories. However, they had a similar start last year and fell away in the middle of the season. It is hard to back against a side that is playing at such a high level and we aren’t brave enough to do so.

TIP: Manchester City @ $2.10 with Ladbrokes
