TopSport Review

Australian-owned bookmaker TopSport is run by Lloyd and Tristan Merlehan, with the pair being licensed bookmakers with more than 25 years’ experience. Back in 1990, Lloyd was the first oncourse bookmaker to offer punters a sports betting service. Find out more information in our TopSport review.

TopSport Review

A sea of blue awaits you when you head over to The homepage is neat with headings appearing at the top and left-hand side of the page. Starting with the top, you will be able to navigate to home, racing, sport, in-play, promotions and contact. The left-hand side menu is great for seeing what upcoming racing and sporting events are on. For example, major races such as the Blue Diamond Stakes will appear there for quick access to the race.

Towards the top of the page is a slideshow of pictures that will inform readers of what TopSport offers. Alternatively, you can read our preview for an in-depth look at the Australian-owned and operated bookmaker.

In the middle of the page, the next three races to jump will appear, with the top eight horses/greyhounds in betting appearing in order from favourite to least favourite. Looking at the right-hand side menu, you will see in-play sports and upcoming sports matches which is great for any last-minute betting – or live betting options, which you can do by calling their telephone service and speaking to one of their friendly staff members.

TopSport offers a large range of markets for both racing and sports. They offer fixed odds on horse racing, greyhounds and harness racing, while also offering all of the major sports around the world. If you are a fan of jockey challenges, or box challenges for greyhound fans, then TopSport will have you covered as they offer both bet types for most meetings each day.

Security is an extremely important part of online betting and TopSport are a member of the NSW Bookmaker’s Co-operative which is an association that guarantees payment of all winning bets placed. In addition, telephone conversations are recorded on a government-approved voice logging system which provides security for clients and the bookmaker.

Competition is great for consumers because it allows us to shop around for the best deals possible. TopSport recognises that and now offer a loyalty program for members. Loyalty Rewards Points are accrued in the following fashion.

Larger limits than most rival corporate bookmakers. TopSport accepts larger wagers than most of their competitors and they are one of the bookmakers of choice for professional punters. The staff at TopSport will even discuss limits with members, and they have said publicly on social media that they are willing to bet most punters a large sum. This leads to customer service which is first-rate at TopSport. They are willing to discuss account matters, such as larger betting sums, and will respond to people on social media in a fast manner.

One thing you won’t find on TopSport are novelty markets which is a strength of Sportsbet and BetEasy. Betting on Reality TV shows such as Survivor and Married at First Sight will appear on both bookmakers mentioned, but you won’t see that market at TopSport. Neither will you find WWE markets.
