With the start of The Championships horse racing carnival in Sydney, the team at TopBetta have put together a fantastic tournament this Saturday with a huge prize pool attached.
With a $110 buy-in TopBetta have guaranteed a prize pool of $2,000 but that is expected to hit $4,000 by the time it kicks off for Race 1 on Saturday afternoon.
If you’ve never heard of TopBetta tournaments, they are a great way to get involved with the races and have a sweat on Saturday without having to risk real money on every single race.
For your buy-in to the tournament, you’ll receive an allocation of TopBetta tournament dollars. They don’t have any real money value, but instead you use those tournament dollars to bet on the markets offered in the tournament. So for The Championships you can bet for the win, place or each/way on any of the horses in all of the races during the day. You can bet on every race!
The object is to try and win the most TopBetta tournament dollars during the day. If you win the most, you’ll take down the top prize which will no doubt be over $1,000 this Saturday. If you miss the top prize, no worries, as the tournament will payout prizes to a number of players, depending on the total number of entries.
Tournaments are a lot of fun, but there can also be some strategies involved when determining how much to bet on each race, depending on how much ground you need to make up on the leaders on the leaderboard.
