Bbet Australia Review

Launched in 2019 by experienced Australian bookmaker Luke Behrmann, Bbet is the wagering arm of The Behrmann Group Pty Ltd. Bbet operates on course “face to face” at all Australian Turf Club meetings and has for almost 20 years and has recently ventured into the online space.

Experienced Australian punters will notice that the Bbet website uses the same layout that has become synonyms with TopBetta over the last few years. While the initial load of the website can take a little bit longer than some of the higher profile bookmakers, once you’re loaded up, the betting experience is pretty seamless.

Getting started with Bbet is pretty standard, if you don’t already have an account, simply click the orange ‘Get Started’ tab in the top right hand side of the page. You’ll be redirected to a page that will ask for details including email, name, password, mobile number and date of birth. You’ll also be able to make your first deposit straight from the sign up page.

A list of popular current racing and sports events can be found at the top of the page for easy access to what you’re looking for quickly, or if you’re after something a bit more obscure, you’ll find an A-Z Sports tab at the top right of the page. Although the range at Bbet isn’t top tier.

In our opinion, the racing section of the layout that is used by Bbet/Topbetta is arguably the best in the game. At the top of the page you have a fantastic ‘next up’ scroll bar that has the next Australian and international races to go with live countdown timers. Below that you have a comprehensive and easy to read layout of all of the Australian and international gallops, greyhounds and harness races, sorted by race meet.

While Bbet definitely excels in the racing products and markets available, there sports offering are still a bit of a work in progress. At the moment, they only offer markets in about 10 different sports so if you’re a regular in betting on obscure sports and markets then Bbet might not be the best option for you. However, Bbet have some fantastic odds in all of the regular markets for popular sports such as AFL, NRL, Soccer, Tennis and more.

Bbet have a dedicated promotions tab at the top right hand side of the page where you can view all of the current and upcoming promotions, of which there are usually plenty in both racing and sport.

The cornerstone of the Bbet model is definitely their Australian based platform that relies on excellent customer service. Unlike some of the other online bookmakers available to Australian residents, Bbet was founded in Australia and grown by one of the biggest personal bookmakers in the country, Luke Behrmann.

Listen to a bit of Luke Behrmann’s story from being a popular bookmaker Australia wide to starting Bbet here on ‘The Business of Betting Podcast’!
