eSports Betting Tips: CS:GO ESL Pro League Finals

May 10th 2018, 12:14pm, By: andyrosos

The recent CS:GO IEM Sydney tournament was a thrilling one that threw up plenty of upset results and ended in Faze Clan defeating Astralis in the final! We look forward now to the $750,000 ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals starting next Tuesday and continuing through until Sunday! See our full preview and betting tips for the event below!

CS:GO ESL Pro League Season 7 Betting Tips

Astralis

Even though they were decimated in the final of the IEM Sydney tournament by Faze, it’s hard to look past the number one team in the world right now. Astralis breezed through to the final of IEM Sydney, dropping just one map along the way. The recent roster change to bring former North player ‘Magisk’ into the line-up seems to be paying dividends now as the Danish star was regularly Astralis’ top fragger throughout IEM Sydney and behind ‘device’ might now be their most important player.

CS:GO, in fact all ESports, are always prone to an upset but the feeling I get with Astralis makes me think they are a more professional outfit than most. I’ve got confidence in them putting out a consistent performance and a bet on them to reach the final will always be in the mix.

North America

While Europe have dominated the CS:GO scene for a while and will most likely continue to do so, I love the value of a North American team to take out the ESL Pro League Season 7. NRG have proven themselves to be a really dangerous team even when competing against the top sides and Cloud9 at their best are capable of winning any tournament.

Then there is SK Gaming. A juggernaut of the CS scene just a few months ago, SK has had to make drastic changes to their communication since recruiting Stewie2K from Cloud9, who doesn’t speak Portuguese like the rest of the Brazilian team. You never quite know what you’re going to get with SK and they could just bring a championship winning performance. There is also Optic Gaming, who are the complete unknown of this tournament since fully reshaping their roster to cater to a full Danish team.

s1mple

Once again, it’s hard to look past Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev to win the tournament MVP. I think that every other player in the tournament will need to win to claim the MVP award, but not ‘s1mple’. He’s capable of churning out an MVP calibre performance even if his team goes out in the the semi finals.
