The Western Bulldogs take on the West Coast Eagles on Sunday afternoon. While it may not be as much of a one-sided affair as some would think, we are still going to stay away from the match betting markets and instead find some value in an interesting Supercoach head-to-head bet at Sportsbet.
It’s Chris Masten going up against the big dean Cox.
One thing is certainty on Sunday and that is that both Masten and Cox will likely score some big Supercoach points. However, we believe Masten has Cox covered and that’s because his form is just through the roof, while the Cox big body is seemingly getting a little tired towards the end of the season.
Masten has been crushing over the last five weeks. He has scored over 100 SC points in every one of those five games, racking up 129, 116, 107, 101 and 100. He’s simply been one of the Eagles’ best players.
Cox on the other hand, has scored over 100 on two out of the last five games and those scores were back in round 13 and 14. The last three games Cox has scored 70,70 and 83. He just hasn’t been putting those big scores we are used to on the board and I think that will continue on Sunday.
Some would argue that the one thing against Masten is Cox’s form against the Bulldogs. Cox averages 111 SC points against the Dogs and has scored 126, 110 and 149 in his last three outings against them. However, he’s just not in that kind of form at the moment and we must consider that Masten scored 125 SC points against the Bulldogs earlier in the year. Masten looks too strong here.
