2017-18 NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday, 20th March Games

March 19th 2018, 5:26pm, By: andyrosos

Another good day of NBA betting tips on Saturday as we went 2-0 for the day. We are back with another slate of tips for the eight game slate this Tuesday, the 20th of March below.

Milwaukee Bucks at Cleveland Cavaliers (10am AEDT)

The game of the day sees the Bucks travelling to Cleveland to take on the Cavs in an Eastern Conference clash. While the top eight might be set in the Eastern Conference, the seedings aren’t, as Bucks currently sit in 7th place but are just three wins adrift of the Cavs in third place. A win here for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks would be massive in their attempt to secure a home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Cavs will be coming into the game on the back of a good win over the Bulls on Sunday and the game against the Bucks will mark the start of an extremely important three game home stand. While the Cavs will back themselves to get the job done against any team on any court in the playoffs, history says it is extremely hard to advance to the Conference Finals and beyond if you don’t finish in the top four, so they’ll be desperate for a win here despite a long list of current injuries.

The Cavs start as 2.5-point favourites here, but could be without Kyle Korver, Larry Nance and Rodney Hood, who are all listed as day to day, along with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, who are definitely out for the clash. It’ll likely be a battle of the two superstars in Antetokounmpo and LeBron James here, and we give the slight edge to the King at home.

TIP: Cleveland -2.5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet

Detroit Pistons at Sacramento Kings (1pm AEDT)

The Kings might currently sit 12th in the Western Conference, but they have been playing out of their skin lately, winning their last five games and pushing some of the best teams in the league to the brink. They face a struggling Detroit team on Tuesday, who have lost their last three games in a row and eight of their last 10.

After being right in the mix to make the playoffs, the Pistons have fallen off at the wrong time of year, going on a horror streak to effectively end their season. They currently sit 6.5 games outside of the top eight in the East, and we wouldn’t be surprised if some of their stars, namely Blake Griffin, are shut down to rest soon.

Even though they have no chance of making the playoffs and should probably be tanking, the Kings have found new vigour over the past few weeks and have been grinding on the back of a great mix of youth and veteran play. They have wins over the Knicks, Magic, Heat and Warriors in their last eight games and at $2.22 at home we love the value here.

TIP: Sacramento to win - $2.22 at Sportsbet

Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs (12.30pm AEDT)

The Warriors seem to have gone into shutdown mode a few weeks out from the playoffs. Their long list of injuries will get even longer this Tuesday as Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Omri Casspi have already been ruled out, while Zaza Pachulia, Andre Igoudala, Kevon Looney, Quinn Cook and Patrick McCaw are all game time decisions.

If any team has been able to match the Warriors in the injury column over the past few weeks, it would have been the Spurs. LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, Rudy Gay and Manu Ginobili have all missed games recently, but will be available for Tuesday’s clash, although the Spurs will still be without star forward Kawhi Leonard.

The Spurs start as hot $1.38 favourites due to the Warriors injuries and with Golden State have already wrapped up and being content with 2nd seed in the West, they won’t have a lot of vested interest in this clash. We like the Spurs to win this one comfortably.

TIP: San Antonio Spurs -6.5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
